Step preview

  1. Add the ingredients into a large bowl and mix to combine
  2. Add the next ingredients and toss to coat
  3. Fit the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  4. Add oil into the appliance bowl
  5. Heat - 1 minute, 160ºC, speed Off
  6. Add half of the coated meat
  7. Cook - 3 minutes, 160ºC, speed Stir 2
  8. Transfer the content of the appliance bowl into a clean bowl
  9. Add the remaining meat into the appliance bowl
  10. Cook - 3 minutes, 160ºC, speed Stir 2
  11. Transfer the content of the appliance bowl into the bowl with the rest of the meat and set aside
  12. Add bacon into the appliance bowl
  13. Cook - 2 minutes, 140ºC, speed Stir 2
  14. Add the next ingredients
  15. Cook – 5 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  16. Add wine
  17. Cook - 3 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 3
  18. Add the next ingredients, fit the splashguard
  19. Cook – 1 hour 20 minutes, 102ºC, speed Stir 4
  20. Allow to cool at room temperature - 1 hour
  21. Preheat the oven - 200ºC
  22. Grease the pie dish with butter
  23. Place the chilled pastry onto a lightly floured worksurface
  24. Divide pastry into two pieces, one being twice the size of the other
  25. Roll ou the large piece into a round about 0.5 cm thick
  26. Line the pie dish with the pastry, leaving some overhanging the sides
  27. Spoon cooled pie filling into the pie dish and spread evenly
  28. Roll the smaller piece of pastry into a 5 mm thick round, larger than the top of the pie dish
  29. Brush the rim of the pie with some of the beaten egg yolk, then place the round pastry on top
  30. Trim and crimp the edges to seal, then brush all over with egg yolk to glaze
  31. Cut the small hole in the top of the pie
  32. Bake until golden - 30 minutes, 200ºC
  33. Remove from the oven and allow to cool - 15 minutes
  34. Serve
