Step preview

  1. Add the ingredients into a bowl
  2. Mix until evenly coated
  3. Fit the Stir Tool
  4. Add oil into the appliance bowl
  5. Heat – 1 minute, 150ºC, speed off
  6. Then add half of the beef
  7. Cook until browned – 5 minutes, 150ºC, speed Stir 2
  8. Add the beef into a heatproof bowl
  9. Then add the remaining beef into the appliance bowl
  10. Cook until browned – 5 minutes, 150ºC, speed Stir 2
  11. Add the beef into the heatproof bowl
  12. Add oil into the appliance bowl
  13. Heat – 1 minute, 120ºC, speed Stir 1
  14. Then add the next ingredient
  15. Cook – 2 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 1
  16. Then add the ingredients
  17. Cook – 7 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 3
  18. Then add the beef and the next ingredient
  19. Cook – 2 hours, 98ºC, speed Stir 4
  20. Then add the next ingredient and 2 Tbsp of the cooking liquid into a clean bowl
  21. Stir to combine and add into the appliance bowl
  22. Cook until thickened – 30 minutes, 105ºC, speed Stir 1
  23. Add the mixture into a clean bowl and let cool
  24. Refrigerate until firm
  25. Preheat the oven - 200ºC
  26. Line a baking tray with parchment paper
  27. Remove the filling from the fridge
  28. Place pastry on a lightly floured work surface
  29. Using a rolling pin, roll out until 2mm thick
  30. Using a cutter of your choice, cut out rounds
  31. Brush half the edge of each circle with egg
  32. Press a spoonful of filling into the centre of each circle – enough to fill but not spill out
  33. Fold the pastry over the top and seal the edges
  34. Press down with a fork
  35. Place the pastries onto a baking tray and space apart evenly
  36. Brush with egg
  37. Make an incision in the top of each pastry to allow steam to escape
  38. Bake until golden and crisp – 20 minutes, 200ºC
  39. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly
  40. Serve
