Step preview

  1. Making the batter:
  2. Preheat the oven - 160ºC
  3. Grease a tin and line with parchment paper
  4. Fit the K-Beater
  5. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  6. Mix - 2 minutes, speed 1
  7. Add one third of the mixture into a medium bowl
  8. Then add orange food colouring
  9. Mix until combined and set aside
  10. Then add the next ingredient into the appliance bowl
  11. Mix – 30 seconds, speed 2
  12. Spoon half of the chocolate mixture into the tin
  13. Spoon the orange batter on top and spread evenly
  14. Then add the rest of the chocolate batter and spread evenly
  15. Bake – 1 hour, 160ºC
  16. Remove from the oven and let cool
  17. Making the icing:
  18. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Whisk Tool
  19. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  20. Whisk – 3 minutes, speed 2
  21. Then add the ingredients
  22. Whisk – 5 minutes, speed 1
  23. Spoon the icing onto the cake
  24. Serve
