This recipe makes enough pizza dough to make 2 medium-large thin crust pizzas or 4 smaller ones. Topped with a quick BBQ sauce and walnut “meat” for a pizza which is packed full of flavour and texture, to rival your favourite takeaway version. Turn up the heat to your liking by adding sliced chillies and jalapenos. Store the leftover walnut meat in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Appliance: MultiPro Go

Step preview

  1. Making the pizza dough:
  2. Line the baking trays with parchment paper
  3. Lightly grease a clean bowl
  4. Fit the Knife Blade
  5. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  6. Mix until combined – 30 seconds
  7. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured work surface
  8. Knead by hand - 5 minutes
  9. Transfer the dough into the greased bowl and cover
  10. Prove in a warm place until doubled in size – 1 hour
  11. Making the BBQ sauce:
  12. Add the ingredients into a clean saucepan
  13. Stir until combined
  14. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat - medium-high heat
  15. Simmer uncovered - 10 minutes, medium-low heat
  16. Remove from the heat and let cool completely
  17. Making the walnut meat:
  18. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Knife Blade
  19. Add 90g walnuts into the appliance bowl
  20. Pulse until coarsely chopped
  21. Transfer the chopped walnuts into a clean bowl
  22. Repeat the same with the remaining walnuts, 90g at a time
  23. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  24. Pulse until smooth
  25. Transfer the tomato mixture into the bowl of walnuts
  26. Stir to combine
  27. Shaping the dough:
  28. Preheat the oven - 200ºC
  29. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured work surface
  30. Divide into two equal pieces
  31. Roll out each piece of dough, about 22cm (9”) round
  32. Place the shaped dough on the baking trays and set aside
  33. Preparing the toppings:
  34. Assemble the Express Serve attachment with the slicing disc
  35. Place a clean bowl underneath the attachment
  36. Slice the ingredients into the bowl using the pusher
  37. Assembly:
  38. Spread 3-4 tbsp of the BBQ sauce over each of the pizza bases
  39. Sprinkle with 3/4 of grated cheese
  40. Add most of the toppings onto each pizza
  41. Spoon over some of the walnut meat
  42. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese
  43. Bake until golden - 10-15 minutes, 200ºC
  44. Remove from the oven
  45. Garnish with reserved toppings and the rest of the ingredients, if desired
  46. Serve immediately
