Step preview

  1. Making the pastry:
  2. Fit the Knife Blade
  3. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  4. Select the Mix preset
  5. Transfer the pastry onto a lightly floured work surface and knead lightly
  6. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge – 1 hour
  7. Preheat the oven - 180°C
  8. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and divide into six equal pieces
  9. Roll out each piece to 5mm thick
  10. Line the tins with pastry and prick with a fork
  11. Line the pastries with parchment paper and fill with baking beans
  12. Bake - 10 minutes, 180°C
  13. Remove the tins from the oven
  14. Remove the baking beans and parchment paper
  15. Brush the pastries with beaten egg
  16. Bake until golden - 5 minutes, 180°C
  17. Remove from the oven and let cool
  18. Making the crumble:
  19. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Knife Blade
  20. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  21. Pulse until a crumble texture has formed – about 5-6 times
  22. Making the filling:
  23. Add the ingredients into a clean bowl and mix until combined
  24. Divide the mixture between the pastry cases and sprinkle the crumble on top
  25. Bake until golden brown – 25 minutes, 180°C
  26. Remove from the oven and let cool
  27. Serve
