This Brioche is deliciously buttery and chocolatey. Make this indulgent bread for a special breakfast or an afternoon tea. We have added chopped hazelnuts, but you can leave them out, if you prefer. Appliance: MultiPro OneTouch

Step preview

  1. Making the dough:
  2. Fit the Dough Tool
  3. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  4. Let rest – 5 minutes
  5. Then add the next ingredients
  6. Select the Dough preset
  7. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knead lightly
  8. Place the dough in a clean bowl and cover with a kitchen towel
  9. Prove until doubled in size – 1 hour
  10. Making the chocolate filling:
  11. Grease a tin
  12. Add the ingredients into a clean bowl and mix until combined
  13. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knead lightly
  14. Roll out using a rolling pin into a large rectangle
  15. Spread the chocolate mixture over the surface of the dough
  16. Roll the dough up tightly starting from the long edge
  17. Place the seam underneath the dough
  18. Cut the dough lengthways down the centre
  19. Twist the dough lengths around each other
  20. Place the shaped dough into the tin and cover with a tea towel
  21. Let rest – 30 minutes
  22. Preheat the oven - 180ºC
  23. Brush the dough with beaten egg
  24. Bake until golden brown – 25 minutes, 180ºC
  25. Remove from the oven and let cool
  26. Serve
