Fluffy, light on the inside and crispy on the outside, these bite sized doughnuts are perfect for sharing at your next gathering. They are flavoured with cinnamon and honey for a slight sweetness. We've finished ours with chopped pistachios, but you can swap for another nut or simply serve with honey.

  1. Fit the Dough Tool
  2. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  3. Let rest - 5 minutes
  4. Then add the next ingredients
  5. Knead until a dough has formed - 10 minutes, speed 1
  6. Remove the Dough Tool and fit the splashguard
  7. Prove until doubled in size - 1 hour 15 minutes, 30ºC, speed off
  8. Line a baking tray with paper towels
  9. Add oil into a large, heavy-based saucepan until half full
  10. Heat until the oil reaches 170ºC – high heat
  11. Oil your hands and a large spoon
  12. Place a small portion of dough into your hand
  13. Squeeze the dough between your forefinger and thumb to create a ball
  14. Use a spoon to transfer the dough into the saucepan
  15. Fry in batches of 3 until deep golden brown - 4-5 minutes, high heat
  16. Remove the doughnuts using a slotted spoon and place them on the lined baking tray
  17. Repeat the same process with the remaining dough
  18. Place the doughnuts into a serving bowl
  19. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with pistachios
  20. Serve
