A traditional pudding of stewed apples topped with a crisp and buttery crumble topping, served hot with custard, cream or ice cream. A great recipe for using up a glut of apples or pears - you can also add other fruits if you like. To make this recipe gluten free, substitute the flour with a gluten free flour.

  1. Making the crumble topping:

  3. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  4. Mix until combined – 2 minutes, speed Min
  5. Then add sugar
  6. Mix until combined – 30 seconds, speed Min
  7. Transfer the crumble mixture into a clean bowl and set aside
  8. Making the apple filling:
  9. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Stir Tool
  10. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  11. Cook until the apples have softened but still retain their shape – 12 minutes, 105ºC, speed Stir 2
  12. Transfer the apples into a baking dish and let cool
  13. Preheat the oven - 190ºC
  14. Top the apple mixture with an even layer of the crumble topping
  15. Bake until golden brown – 35-40 minutes, 190ºC
  16. Serve
