  1. Making the pasta:
  2. Fit the K-Beater
  3. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  4. Mix until a dough forms - 2 minutes, speed 2
  5. Transfer the dough onto a work surface and knead lightly
  6. Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap
  7. Chill in the fridge - 30 minutes
  8. Cut the chilled dough in half, cover one half with plastic wrap
  9. Roll out one half until about 1 cm thick
  10. Attach the Lasagne Roller attachment
  11. Adjust the setting to 0, sprinkle some flour between the rollers
  12. Start the machine and pass the dough through the rollers - speed 1
  13. Repeat, reducing the setting each time until you reach desired thickness - speed 1
  14. Cut the pasta sheets into 1 cm strips to make tagliatelle or cut as desired
  15. Sprinkle the pasta with flour and set aside until ready to cook
  16. Repeat the same process with the second half of dough
  17. Making the sauce:
  18. Add olive oil into a saucepan
  19. Heat until hot - medium-high heat
  20. Then add onions
  21. Sauté, stirring occasionally, until softened - 5 minutes, medium-high heat
  22. Then add garlic
  23. Sauté until fragrant - 1-2 minutes, medium-high heat
  24. Then add the next ingredients
  25. Cook until boiling - medium-high heat
  26. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened - 20-25 minutes, medium-low heat
  27. Then add fresh basil and stir to combine
  28. Season to taste
  29. If you like a smoother sauce, use a stick blender to puree or pass it through a sieve
  30. Add water into a clean saucepan
  31. Heat until boiling - high heat
  32. Then add salt and pasta
  33. Cook until al dente - 3-5 minutes, medium-high heat
  34. Drain the pasta and drizzle with a little olive oil
  35. Serve
