A shrub is a fruit-based vinegar syrup that is used in drinks and cocktails. Mix this one with lemonade and crushed ice for a refreshing drink or mix with soda and vodka for a delicious cocktail. Put the shrub in a sterilised bottle and store in the fridge for up to one month.

Step preview

  1. Fit the Knife Blade (or Max Blade for kCook Multi)
  2. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, attach the lid with the filler cap fitted
  3. Blend until smooth - 1 minute, speed 12
  4. Then add the next ingredients
  5. Heat until the liquid has reduced - 10 minutes, 60ÂșC, speed 1
  6. Let cool slightly and then remove the thyme
  7. Then add vinegar
  8. Mix until combined - 2 minutes, speed 5
  9. Strain the mixture through a muslin cloth into a jug and let cool
  10. Then pour into a sterilised bottle
  11. Chill in the fridge
  12. Use as desired
