A classic snack with a twist. These sausage rolls are slightly more adventurous than normal pork but every bit as tasty.

Step preview

  1. Fit the Stir Tool
  2. Add butter into the appliance bowl
  3. Heat until melted - 1 minute, 80ºC, speed Off
  4. Then add onion
  5. Cook until softened - 10 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  6. Then add garlic
  7. Cook until fragrant - 2 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  8. Let cool
  9. Remove the Stir Tool, fit the K-Beater
  10. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  11. Mix until combined - 1 minute, speed 2
  12. Preheat the oven - 180°C
  13. Line a baking tray with parchment paper
  14. Place the pastry on a lightly floured work surface
  15. Roll out into a rectangle, about 40 cm x 30 cm
  16. Slice the pastry in half, so you have two pieces 40 cm x 15 cm
  17. Brush the edges of each pastry with beaten egg
  18. Spoon a line of filling onto the pastry
  19. Then spoon a line of jam onto the filling
  20. Fold the pastry over the filling
  21. Use a fork to press and seal the edges
  22. Slice the pastry into 5 cm rolls and place them on the baking tray
  23. Brush with beaten egg
  24. Score the top with a sharp knife
  25. Bake until golden brown - 30 minutes, 180°C
  26. Serve
