Step preview

  1. Fit the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  2. Add oil into the appliance bowl
  3. Heat until hot - 1 minute, 180ºC, speed Off
  4. Then add part of beef
  5. Cook until browned - 3 minutes, 180ºC, speed Stir 2
  6. Transfer the browned beef into a clean bowl and set aside
  7. Working in batches, repeat the same process with the remaining beef until all the beef has been browned
  8. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  9. Cook until translucent - 5 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  10. Then add garlic
  11. Cook until fragrant - 1 minute, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  12. Then add the next ingredients
  13. Cook until combined - 2 minutes, 120ºC, speed Stir 2
  14. Remove the Stir Tool
  15. Add the browned beef and its juices into the appliance bowl
  16. Then add the next ingredients
  17. Add a little water until covered, if needed
  18. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine, then fit the splashguard
  19. Cook until softened - 1 hour 20 minutes, 98ºC, speed Off
  20. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine
  21. Cook until tender - 1 hour 30 minutes, 98ºC, speed Off
  22. Let rest - 15 minutes
  23. Remove the bay leaves, cinnamon and cloves
  24. Serve
