Step preview

  1. Preheat the oven - 180ºC
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper
  3. Fit the K-Beater
  4. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl
  5. Mix until combined - 2 minutes, speed Min
  6. Place puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface
  7. Roll the dough out into a 2 mm thick rectangle
  8. Trim the edges and then cut the pastry in half lengthways
  9. Brush one edge of each pastry with some of the beaten egg
  10. Roll the filling into two logs and place in the centre of each pastry
  11. Roll up the pastry to enclose the filling, allowing the pastry to overlap slightly
  12. Seal each pastry with beaten egg
  13. Use a fork to score the edges of the pastry
  14. Cut each pastry into 8 cm individual sausage rolls
  15. Use a sharp knife to make 4 diagonal cuts along the top of each sausage roll
  16. Place the rolls, seam side down, on the baking tray and space them apart
  17. Brush the top of each sausage roll with the remaining egg wash
  18. Sprinkle with seeds
  19. Bake until golden brown - 30 minutes, 180ºC
  20. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly
  21. Serve
