These sunflower and poppy seeds rolls are simple to make and satisfying, served warm they make a great accompaniment to soups and cheeses. You can use any combination of seeds for this recipe so do not be afraid to experiment.

Ingredients

- 700 g

- Quick-rise yeast
- 10 g

- 3 tablespoons

- Strong white bread flour
- 200 g

- Wholemeal bread flour
- 800 g

- Poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon

Step preview
- Knife blade (or Max blade for kCook Multi)
- Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the lid without the filler cap
- Knead until combined and then scrape the bowl - 2 minutes, speed 5
- Knead until the dough has formed - 3 minutes, speed 7
- Remove the Knife blade (or Max blade for kCook Multi), attach the lid with the filler cap fitted
- Prove until doubled in size - 1 hour, 30°C, speed Off
- Flour the baking trays
- Add the next ingredients into a clean bowl and mix until combined
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces
- Roll each piece into a ball and brush with water
- Dip the dough balls into the seed mixture
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking trays
- Cover with tea towel and prove until doubled in size - 45 minutes
- Preheat the oven - 220ºC
- Bake the rolls until golden brown - 15 minutes, 220ºC
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a cooling rack
- Serve
