This is a fantastic cake mixture, perfect as a base for different cakes and desserts. It is easy to prepare especially with the Kenwood KCook Multismart User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Line a clean baking pan with parchment paper then set aside
  3. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add egg white and caster sugar to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  7. Mix with filler cap removed - 4 min, speed 7
  8. Transfer content of kCook bowl to medium glass bowl then set aside
  9. Clean kCook bowl
  10. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  11. Add egg yolk and caster sugar to the kCook bowl
  12. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  13. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  14. Mix with filler cap removed - 3 min, speed 7
  15. Then add italian 00 flour, potato starch and baking powder to the kCook bowl
  16. Mix with filler cap removed - 30 sec, speed 6
  17. Return egg whites to kCook bowl
  18. Mix with filler cap removed - 45 sec, speed 5
  19. Transfer content of kCook bowl to baking pan
  20. Spread until level
  21. Bake - 7 min, 200°C
  22. Let cool
  23. Turn out cake onto work surface
  24. Spread with whipped cream evenly
  25. Roll into a log
  26. Serve
