A well known pear tart with almond cream on a bed of dark chocolate. I recommend you serve it with a homemade custard. User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 220°C
  2. Fit max blade to kCook bowl
  3. Add butter and caster sugar to the kCook bowl
  4. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  5. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  6. Mix with filler cap fitted - 3 min, speed 7
  7. Then add egg and ground almonds to the kCook bowl
  8. Mix with filler cap fitted - 5 min, speed 7
  9. Add shortcrust pastry to a clean lightly floured surface
  10. Roll out into a circle
  11. Transfer pastry to tart pan
  12. Line and trim the edges
  13. Bake until light golden - 12 min, 220°C
  14. Remove from oven
  15. Spread with dark chocolate
  16. Decorate with conference pear into a circle
  17. Transfer content of kCook bowl to tart pan
  18. Spread until level
  19. Bake - 30 min, 220°C
  20. Serve
